One day, a Fremont Humane staffer asked me to look at a large, 4-year-old, unaltered Pit/Lab male named Forest. As soon as Forest saw me walk in front of his kennel, he charged the kennel door and showed me one nice set of teeth.

Rayna was found on the street. Skinny, hungry, but walked right up to a little girl and asked for help. The girl’s mom let her take Rayna in but realized the cat might need more help than this family could provide. She took her to the local shelter thinking that was the best place for her to get help.

Tony was a guest in a shelter in southern Colorado for quite some time.  He is a very big, strong boy and it seemed that people were fearful because of his appearance. 

Several organizations came together to help a small town in southwest Colorado with low cost spay and neuter clinics, vaccination clinics and writing local animal legislation on behalf of a town and its residents.

Jude was paralyzed when he arrived at MaxFund and is now walking and leading an amazing life.

A mom cat, Josette, was found outside living at a clubhouse pool area. She had 6 kittens. A good Samaritan made sure they had food and water, but the weather was about to turn.

Handsome Jingles came back to MaxFund after 8 years in a family home. Suddenly his owners were moving, and Jingles would not be going with them.
